Engine

Got to work on pulling the engine/transmission today. Got all the excess part off and the motor mounts unbolted.  I'll need to order 4 new mounts.  Maybe Wednesday I'll find some help to get her pulled.

Was going  to use the main halyard but due to the fact I have roller main and its another piece of crap. It took 2 hours to get the sail unrolled. I folded it up and it going to storage. Going to get a hank on main. Will need to put a block for a halyard at the top of the mast.  Just another find day on Pandora.

I did find a 12 Yanmar and hope to get it bought Tuesday. One out one in.  Then buy a sail and put her up for sale.

Lisa said today just strip her and donate her. She is totally feed up with all the work and money. Every day its something new.

  1. Sure hate to see you do all that work and essentially hand her over to someone that benefits from all that hard work and expense.
My original Yanmar 8 was swapped on mine for a Yanmar 12 and the boom was used as a lift point for the engine swap. A come-along was used below to pull the engine forward out of the engine compartment.
I sure can understand the frustration and disappointment in wanting to get some enjoyment out of the boat between the work instead you've been getting unrelenting work. Wish I was closer to lend you a hand.

  2. Wrote a whole comment and its gone. Pandora at her finest. Anyway its over. 2 years out of a 70 year old mans life is enough. Moving on next spring after the engine and trans are rebuilt.
